MARBURG. Marburg-based DJ Amelie Larsen has released her new single “Desert Wind Calls.”
Her latest production follows the predicted summer trend of 2026, according to experts in electronic music at this year’s Ultra Festival in Miami: a mix of Arab vocals and sound elements with Afro-house beats.
“Mystically, Amelie transports both listeners and dancers with her sound, following the desert wind over the dune ridges of Arabia’s deserts,” Larsen’s management at Advanced Media AG explains. At just 21 years old, Larsen is already considered “an old hand” in the DJ business.
For her new single, she once again teamed up with Marburg producer DJ Dr. Dot. The two are both part of the volunteer network Marburger Clubs United (MCU) and had already worked together in 2025 on their first single, “Loca Loca.”
The latest result of their collaboration was delivered to clubs and sound bars just in time for Easter.

Although she has been living in Munich since 2024 for her studies in communication science, she keeps returning to Marburg — especially to present her new sets to the people of Marburg.
On Tuesday, July 7, for example, she is scheduled to open the annual parking deck party organized by the Biology Student Association at Philipps University Marburg. With festival and open-air season just getting underway, Larsen has several events lined up for spring and summer.
For the musician, this means a lot of travel alongside her studies. In summer 2026, the young DJ will be working for the Robinson Club chain throughout the entire 2026 summer season. Even so, the controllers and her notebook in the studio are not standing still, Advanced Media AG reports. Fans can therefore look forward to more singles and possibly a new album by the end of 2026.

MARBURG. Die Marburger DJane Amelie Larsen hat ihre neue Single „Desert Wind Calls“ veröffentlicht. Ihre neueste Produktion folge dabei dem prognostizierten Sommertrend 2026, wie es von den Experten der elektronischen Musik vom aktuellen Ultra-Festival in Miami heißt: ein Mix aus
Arab-Vocals und Soundelementen mit Afro-House-Beats.
„Mystisch entführt Amelie mit ihrem Sound dabei Hörende wie auch Tanzende, dem Wüstenwind folgend, über die Dünenberge der Wüsten
Arabiens“, erklärt Larsens Management von der Advanced Media AG. Mit gerade mal 21 Jahren sei Larsen dabei schon ein „alter Hase“ im DJ-Business.
Für ihre neue Single schloss sie sich ein weiteres Mal mit dem Marburger Producer DJ Dr. Dot zusammen. Die beiden stammen aus dem ehrenamtlichen Verbund Marburger Clubs United (MCU) und arbeiteten schon 2025 für ihre erste Single „Loca Loca“ zusammen.

Auch wenn sie für ihr Studium der Kommunikationswissenschaften seit 2024 in München lebt, kehrt sie immer wieder nach Marburg zurück – insbesondere, um Marburgerinnen und Marburgern ihre neuen Sets zu präsentieren.
Am Dienstag, 7. Juli, steht für sie etwa die Eröffnung der alljährlichen Parkdeckparty der Biologie-Fachschaft der Philipps-Universität Marburg an. Mit der Festival- und Open-Air-Saison in den Startlöchern stehen Larsen einige Events im Frühling und Sommer bevor.
Das bedeutet für die Musikerin neben ihrem Studium auch viel Reisen. Im Sommer 2026 wird die junge DJane für die Robinson-Club-Kette über die gesamte Sommersaison 2026 tätig sein.
